2014 International Study Tour

“The international meetings we have had in Australia, Cuba , Brazil and Argentina create an opportunity to interact with people in the petroleum industry and a wide variety of business people in general. We have also met with US Trade Ministers and Chamber of Commerce members. It is very interesting to see how our industry operates in other countries. We are truly a very diverse industry.”
Carl Boyett, CEO, Boyett Petroleum

“The 2011 Brazil and Argentina trip was awesome. Hearing from the leaders of the motor fuel industry in both countries was a great experience. Actually visiting retail sights and seeing the retail CNG facilities in Argentina was interesting. First class trip from beginning to the end - great tours and adventures!”

Tom Gresham, President & CEO, Double Quick, Inc.

May 13-21, 2014: Istanbul, Turkey, and the Republic of Georgia

Join fellow SIGMA members and participate in this ONCE IN A LIFETIME event!

With Istanbul's and Georgia’s iconic architecture and scenery as the backdrop – and its long, vibrant history as the crossroads of continents, cultures and religions – SIGMA’s 2014 Study Tour will explore the future of fuels marketing. As we look at the current moment in history and at today's global economy, the future of fuels marketing involves risk, commitment and brings us to a crossroad. How will you proceed? Should you act boldly or retreat? What personal and professional risks are you willing to take? And, more specifically, what trends will help us make decisions for our future as leaders and increasingly connected global citizens? We will look at what's next for our industry—looking at both the near and long term.

The International Study Tour offers a powerful opportunity to connect with fellow members, spouses and partners representing a wide spectrum of business interests.

Open to all SIGMA members, the Study Tour is the organization's premier international event. Learn from and interact with a diverse cross section of business leaders and cultural representatives while broadening your understanding of the world during this life-enriching program.
